The Hilong-16 drilling rig in Hilong Oil Service Ecuador Project has formally started operation at 24:00 on December 16, 2011 local time!
The successful operation startup of HL-16 signifies that Hilong Oil Service has turned over a new page in Ecuador’s drilling market! It also bears witness to Hilong Oil Service’s continual growth, expansion and improvement in oil service strength!
HL-16 began to issue bid in the middle of August 2011, on September 23 it learned Hilong was awarded the bid in cooperation with Schlumberger. After successful acceptance by Party A in China, the equipment ship left port on October 22, and arrived at Ecuador port on November 23. The whole process from unloading, custom clearance, shipping, installation, rectification, to successful startup of operation only took 23 days, which created multiple records in fastest custom clearance, fastest transport, fastest completion of lifting derrick support, and fastest operation startup by Chinese drilling rig in Ecuador.
